Cristiano Ronaldo ‘agrees PSG transfer’ should he leave RMA this summer?
Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly agreed to be a part of Ligue one champions Paris Saint-Germain this summer if he leaves the Bernabeu, according to the Mirror.
The 31-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the French capital for a number of months currently, but reports are now claiming Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has reached a “verbal agreement” with PSG’s owners, that should he leave Spain’s capital, he will become a PSG player from next season.
Rumours of a move for the former Manchester United winger were more lit when his current aspect met PSG within the cluster stages of this season’s Champions League and Ronaldo had a very public chat with coach Laurent Blanc amid rumours of Ronaldo meeting PSG owner, Nasser Al-Khelaffi.
The Qatari billionaire responded to rumours of a possible handle Ronaldo last fall by stating: “Ronaldo features a contract with Real and that we respect that,” he said. “Negotiations would be in secret but nothing for now,” he laughed.
But despite changing into Real Madrid’s all-time high goalscorer, Ronaldo and his agent have had a fractured relationship with madrid president, Florentino Perez and it is this relationship that has flamed suggestions of a move faraway from the Bernabeu.
Perez reportedly reacted angrily last autumn when an interview Ronaldo had with a German publication contained quotes of the Portuguese being open to a true madrid exit however he denied he created those remarks and insisted his remarks had been lost in translation.
But Ronaldo’s camp ar reportedly refusing to comment on the speculation because the 31-year-old gears up for a vital next few months for each club and country.
Real Madrid face Deportivo La Coruna this Sunday knowing that a win and a Barcelona slip up at granada will hand them the La Liga title. And after the end result of the La Liga title race, Ronaldo and his team mates will head to Milan for the Champions League final against their capital of Spain rivals, Atletico.
But the season doesn’t end there for the Portugal captain as he meets with the national team for the coming European Championships in France.
